Search for the Mk25 and you will likely find “The the official sidearm of the Navy SEALs” plastered on any SIG marketing material. It’s true, NAVSOC took the P226 and turned it into the Mk25, and are still using it.

The big rival back on the day was P226 vs M92fs for the Joint Services to replace the M1911. The Beretta M92fs barely won out but both camps have a cult following.
