Heal Us by Tracy Nicholls

This is my anthem for the UK. It came from a place of reflection of how mighty this nation once was when we were walking closely with God. Thinking about my childhood and how I learnt hymns and the Lord’s prayer at school, how shops were shut on Sundays as it was a religious day and how this was a Christian country. Fast forward to the UK now and I feel like Jesus did when He wept over Jerusalem. I can see how far we’ve fallen, all the evil, wickedness, sadness, illness and heartbreak in the UK as well as the world. If only we would repent and turn back to Him, the healer, the creator. My heart cries out to God for Him to heal us, for us not to follow other nations but to follow Jesus!
This song has been so long in the making as I felt the Lord wanted this to have a big sound and have many voices which has been a huge challenge. It reminds me of a Psalm as it begins with a lament and turns into a prayer of intercession. I felt I was being disobedient in the timing of this song as it has taken so long to produce and that I had missed the Lord’s timing, but our amazing God has confirmed through two words of knowledge this weekend that the timing is just right. Praise You Lord.
Thank you to those talented people (listed below) who invested their time and talents in making this project work, you are amazing. This is the first video I have made with original film footage. When I first visited St Johns church, I was overwhelmed by its beauty but also saddened by its disrepair. It mirrors the songs sentiment of the UK and I was so privileged to be given permission to film here. Huge thanks to Deb Brownlee and Jacob for their time and support. Please support them if you can in restoring this magnificent building through their Facebook page St Johns Preservation Group, Kates Hill, Dudley.
I hope this song blesses you. Please subscribe and share and please continue to pray for the UK.
