I was reading a comment yesterday from a young person who said, "Humility and meekness is hard to practice." This was my response.

"Always remember, Jesus carries no whip, but is gentle, kind and very patient. Does a tree grow up to the heights of heaven overnight? No, it weathers storms and all kinds of blasts of things, and fair sunny days in between and rains from heaven.

Your character takes time to build and reshape. God wants you to know that in this growing all your life, there is joy. Humility and meekness grow very slowly, and Christ is the Overseer by His Holy Spirit who is always kind. It is not hard, it is easy.

Just keep your eyes on the Lord, not on your performance, but in love to Him. Then those seemingly hard things become easy. If you are met with hardness in a thing, then ask the Lord for grace in it.

Offer it up to Him and you will see how fast He will take it. Really it is only one thing at a time. And be careful not to hold yourself over the flames for every minute thing you think you have failed in.

Babies learn by falling and rising again, they learn to run by falling down and getting up again. Babies are pure and innocent. You are a child of the House of Faith and you are dearly beloved by our Father. Shalom to you in His patient love."

"Beloved, let us love, Lord, what is love? 'Love is that which inspired My life, and led Me to My Cross and held Me on My cross. Love is that which will make it thy joy to lay down thy life for thy brethren." Lord, evermore give me this love. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after love, for they shall be filled."

~ Amy Carmichael.

"The cross of Christ is a revelation, the cross of the saints is an experience."
