I've seen this all before: Predictive programing

Predictive programming works by providing an opportunity for audiences to become familiar with certain events or concepts before they actually occur. It is thought that this is used as a brainwashing tool, as viewers may be more accepting of certain changes if they have already seen them play out in a story. By normalizing these events through art, people are less likely to resist them when they do happen in real life. This can make it easier for governments and organizations to implement controversial policies without public pushback.
