The Psychological Effects of Prostitution
This is a Psychology Course Section in Human Sexuality.
In this lecture, we will review The Psychological Effects of Prostitution, why do people start prostitution, and a former prostitute who shares her story and symptoms dealing with mental health issues.
We will review PTSD and other mental health issues found in prostitutes.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder] is characterized by anxiety, depression, insomnia, irritability, flashbacks, emotional numbing, and hyper-alertness.
