Discovered ABANDONED Fortress Island in Florida 🌴 Snorkeling and Urbex in 120 yr Old Army Fort

We snorkeled and urbex explored an abandoned island fort in Florida! This is Fort Dade on Egmont Key, located on the edge of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Egmont key is a beautiful location for snorkeling, boating, exploring and hanging on the beach. It also is home to Egmont Key Lighthouse. We ran our boat about 8 miles to the beach on Egmont Key, I got out to snorkel around the outer ruins of the fort. I saw tropical fish, coral and ruins of the fort in the sand. Afterwards I beached the boat on the island and found the largest portion of the fort ruins. We urbex explored the abandoned ruins of the fort, found where the cannons and guns were mounted, we found the storage rooms where the shells were kept. We also explored around the Egmont Key light house that lights the way into Tampa Bay Florida. If you ever get the chance come and visit Egmont Key and go snorkeling and exploring!
