SUBNAUTICA Diving Game gets DEBUNKED by Scuba Diving Youtuber

Scuba Diving Expert MYTH BUSTS Subnautica video game. I am Joe a Scuba Diver, Freediver and all around Underwater Explorer. I am not a gamer but recently I found this amazing diving video game called Subnautica. In Subnautica you play as an underwater explorer who's spaceship has crashed on an ocean covered planet. You must use your scuba diving skills and gear to survive and explore the planets diverse ecosystem. The game really does make you feel like your diving underwater but as a real life diver I found some deadly mistakes with the games portrayal of underwater exploration. Using my diving experience I am going to show you what Subnautica got wrong and what it got right. 1) Freediving in Subnautica - Freediving is diving underwater with no tank, just holding your breath only. At the beginning of Subnautica you must freedive underwater to find resources.

2) Subnautica Pathfinder tool - In Subnautica you must go cave diving and explore wreckage of the crashed space ship. To help you not get lost you can craft the pathfinder tool to help you dive through caves and tight spaces.

3) Subnautica Sea Glide - The Subnautica Seaglide is an underwater scooter very similar to a SeaBob scooter

4) Subnautica air pump) - In subnautica you can use a surface supplied air pump. In real life I use a Brownies Sea-Lion Surface supplied air pump.

5) Catching Fish - In Subnautica you must hunt fish to survive. In real life you would spear fish, see my buddy @CaptainJackSpearo for the most amazing Spearfishing and freediving

6) Air Bladder- The subnautica air bladder can save your life if you need to get to the surface quick. It functions similar to a freedive recovery vest like the Sens07 vest by ProVitaTec

7) The Seamoth Sub - The Subnautica seamoth sub is a small personal sub similar to @TritonSubs

8) Scuba Diving and Scuba Gear - In Subnautica you must go deeper and longer and Freediving will no longer suffice. You must craft compressed air tanks and a rebreather. But how real is the diving gear and method in subnautica.
