Lamentations: Mercy and Hope

Is there hope for this next generation? Some might look at all the conflicts we are seeing in our society and doubt that. However, even in the darkest times, God's light can shine through. Lamentations give us an eyewitness account of the destruction of Jerusalem and yet in the middle of what is one of the darkest passages of scripture, there is a song of hope. I believe God has a strong message for his church today to not be passive but active and hopeful in these times.
