Pakistan Mosque Blast: At least 92 killed after attack in Peshawar, 80 injured

UPDATE 2: The death toll from a suspected suicide bomb that ripped through a mosque in northwestern Pakistan Monday has risen to at least 92, marking one of the deadliest attacks in the country in years as it faces what one analyst described as “a national security crisis.”

Peshawar deputy commissioner Shafiullah Khan on Tuesday confirmed the fatalities and said more than 80 victims were still being treated in hospital following the blast at the mosque in a police compound in the city.

UPDATE: The death toll in a terrorist attack in a mosque in the Pakistani city of Pashevar has increased to 59. This is reported by the Dawn newspaper, citing a representative of the hospital where all the victims of the explosion were sent.

At least 32 people have been killed and 150 injured in a bombing at a mosque in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.

A section of the building was destroyed and officials say people are buried under the rubble.

Most of those who died were part of the police force, and it is believed they were the target of the attack.
