The Lord is Coming, Be Patient

Do you often find it difficult to wait on the Lord? Some of the most difficult times we experience are because we did not wait on God to lead us in His plan. James knows that waiting patiently on the Lord until His return means we should not be anxious or grumbling in our circumstance. If you look at what has been given to us from God, we should be thankful that He is in control. At a very high level, if you look at Job, we think that Job was patient, but as you dig deeper into his circumstance, Job persevered through it. Yes, he was frustrated at times. Not necessarily towards God, but in his circumstance, and in his friends. We should never get ahead of God because we then take what we think is control and try to move out before God, that is when things could go south very quickly. Satan wants you in a state of anxiety and uncertainty, but our faith and hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ and our strength to be patient and persevere comes from Jesus. When we embrace God and follow Him, He will lead us down the path of righteousness and we will be set free from this world.
