The mind of the Lord is what we Christians must have in order to make it heaven, and in order to live victoriously in this present life. To many today claim to be Christians, but they are not mindful of the things of God, they are more in love with the things of the world than they are God. Being a christian means that you don't live by your thoughts and opinions, or by a creed of some denomination, or by what grandma and grandpa says. Being a christian means living by the Word of God and fulfilling God's will in your life. Jesus' mind was not focused on having a reputation, or a great many followers. His mind was not on what others would think of Him if He preached what God commanded Him to. His mind was only to do what God had told Him, His mind was to be about the Father's business, His mind was to say even in the worst of circumstances: Lord, not my will, thy will be done.
