Good Evening from Brazil. A very long and eventful day here. I started the day taking a lot of pictures at the top of the property. It was scorching hot but it was dry and the sun was bright. I started with the two starving puppies we picked up last week. These two puppies are adorable and very adoptable. They are not afraid of humans and very pretty. We have decided to call the light colored one ‘Pearl’ and the darker brindle one ‘Emerald. After several hours taking photos we stopped for lunch and the rain started again. It was torrential for over an hour and some kennels started flooding. I didn’t get pictures as I had to stay with the indoor dogs who are very scared of the thunder and lightning. The kennel where Marley and Sunday are had over a foot of water, it went over Carlos’s boots and filled them up and I measured them and was surprised to find out it was so deep. Marley and Sunday were taking refuge on top of their wooden houses. They had to be evacuated and put in the dog bath house. Tommy was here and had to go to a cubicle in the recovery area. Tomorrow we have to sort out the drainage and resolve this. We had a mini mud slide, which left the entrance to the horses and bigger animals blocked. Carlos had to move all the mud as we need access to this area at all times. There were other problems too. It was a huge storm. It is still raining now, but lightly in comparison to before. Here are Pearl and Emerald who have gained significant weight and are still on meds for tick disease. Please donate to dogsinbrazil20@hotmail.com via paypal
