First we want to thank everyone who played the Technical Test, submitted feedback, and helped us find bugs. Thank you for playing! If you played in the Test all of your progress will carry over into the Demo.
The launch of the Demo today includes fixes for some of the most commonly encountered major bugs. We weren't able to fix everything that was reported in the last three days but we're still working hard to both eliminate issues and improve the overall play experience.
Before Next Fest on February 6th we plan to update the Demo again with a much larger patch that includes a larger set of improvements. Please look forward to it.
Gameplay Changes
1. For new players, we removed the need to play a run before participating in multiplayer, ranked runs, using the logbook, progressing in milestones, and so on.
2. Fixed a softlock in the prologue if you disconnected after talking to Nib & Bin the 2nd time.
3. Fixed a softlock in the stat trader Sea Breach event.
4. Fixed a softlock bug when talking to the Counselor.
5. Fixed Taetra Twin damage going above the proc cap, potentially caused some soft locks.
6. Fixed Stitch ascension Splice damage text not upgrading.
7. Fixed Tantrum passive not proc'ing on certain enemies with alternate death states.
8. Fixed Blink Legendary Warp displacing units that are marked as immovable.
9. Fixed Extracting Smash proc'ing on use instead of on kill.
10. Fixed Poison dealing 10 damage per stack instead of the 5 damage per stack stated in tooltip.
11. Fixed a rare issue where the player's movement in combat would not unlock quickly enough in combat during reaction strikes from vestiges like Braided Acacia.

Art & UI Changes
1. Made the inky gunk puddle's "in-range" VFX change more dramatically when you are standing in it to make it easier to tell that you're going to take damage.
2. Fixed reconnecting to your run erroneously showing the boss health bar.
3. Fixed hovering the class icon in the class select screen not reliably showing its information.
Audio Changes
1. Fixed the Atheneum player arrival sound not lowering in volume the further you are from it.
Engine Changes & Other Bug Fixes
1. Increased the AFK timer in runs to 1 hour.
2. Fixed a bug where in multiplayer if two+ players clicked "return to Atheneum" at the end of a run at nearly the same time some players would time out and disconnect.
3. Blocked certain words from being used as character names.
