Hey Guy’s! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video I’m going to show you how to make a copycat version of Outback Steakhouse’s Alice Springs Chicken.
I enjoy this dish every time I go to Outback Steakhouse. A trip there just wouldn’t be the same if I don’t include it in my meal. I came across this recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.
The only thing that I would change from the video is that I would season the chicken breast before I marinate it in the sauce and I’d marinate it for maybe 3 or 4 hours.
I had a couple of fans that liked it but most didn’t. That’s ok because most people don’t like layers of flavor.
I hope that you’ll give this recipe a try but do season your chicken breast so that it can be flavorful for you and your family.

Alice Springs Chicken:
8 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
4 Tablespoons Butter
8 Cooked Pieces Cooked Bacon
2 Cups Sautéed Mushrooms
4 Cups Colby Jack Cheese, shredded
Add Garlic Salt plus Salt and Pepper to the chicken
breast before marinating

Sauce:
1 Cup Honey
1/2 Cup Yellow Mustard
1/2 Cup Dijon Mustard
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

Wash and cut the chicken breast then season it with the garlic salt, salt and pepper. Place in a dish and set it to the side.
In a medium size bowl mix together the ingredients for the sauce.
Pour half of the sauce over the chicken breast and let marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
I sautéed my mushroom’s off camera. I will include a link in this video for the recipe.
Once the chicken is marinated sear it in a frying pan with the butter. Cooking each side for 3 to 4 minutes.
Place chicken in a large baking dish. Add a tablespoon of the sauce to each piece of chicken. Next add a layer of mushrooms. Then add the bacon. I tore mine in half so that it would lay better. Last add a layer of the shredded cheese. Add as much or as little as you like.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees or until it is done.
Serve immediately with the remaining sauce.
Enjoy!
