January 28, First Batch of Eggs are in the Incubator.
Decided to grow the flock from 5 to ?? so I got me an incubator and starting collecting eggs instead of eating them.
This is my first batch, 11 eggs:
3 Black Americauna, Roo and Hen.
8 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes with the same Black Americauna Roo.
My plan is to only keep the B.A. Roos and of course most of the hens.
Depending on space availability some of the cross hens might be sold locally, but I want to get a nice stock of pure Black Americaunas.
Will be candling next weekend and will update then.
Thanks for watching.
