Palmetto Island State Park

The name of the park signifies what you see...plenty of palmettos! Hazel and I walked the main trail with ended up being just shy of 3 miles, but if you link up some road walking with the 1 Mile Lagoon Trail, this would probably be a nice 5-6 mile hike. Plenty of places to camp, including 4 primitive camp spots where you can enjoy the beauty of the marshlands of South Louisiana.
