The Milgram Experiment was a series of social experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram in the 1960s. Milgram, born in the 1930s in New York City to Jewish immigrant parents, set up a study that might show how people follow orders from authority, even if it goes against their morals.
