The bronze face of a calf beckons with outstretched arms,
And heated hot with fire, yet no one was alarmed,
At the screams of the innocent, barely drowned by beating drums,
As they passed them through the fire, ‘till they one by one succumbed.

The forceps is the fire they pass their children through.
The forceps is the fire, a sacrifice is due.
With tainted tools of stainless steel, the priests approach their prey.
The forceps is the fire, it’s on display today.

Seven chapel chambers heated until they’d glow;
Would it be a dove, a ram, an ox, or human blood that flowed?
Each one showed commitment of just how far they’d go,
To appease the one called Moloch with the gift they would bestow.
