Friday Night Last Call - Fixing the DC Universe; 2023 Topic Revival

Last year (or maybe it was sooner than that?!) I started a series within the Last Call topics exploring what I wish DC had done from the start, rather than all of their false starts, with their Cinematic/Shared Universe. Now, as DC is starting all over again in 2023 from scratch, it would seem, I want to return the "what could have been." This also comes a day after a number of us pitch our ideas, hypothetically, to DC on Mr. Matchstick's channel

My alternate universe branches from ours way back in 2001 with the release of Smallville, because every era and incarnation of the DC Universe should be built on Superman. Smallville had some great ideas and potential, but it wasn’t really building to anything. And then when they did decide to create their “Arrowverse” it wasn’t a spinoff of Smallville or directly connected. Neither did they try to spin Smallville UP to the big screen. But what if they did…
