Symbols of death the German tanks, Russian Foreign Ministry says

*2. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has, in fact, renounced German sovereignty by deciding to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news briefing on Friday.*

"The day the decision was made in favor of supplying Leopard tanks was historic. It was all the more historic because it finally testified to and cemented what we had been talking about for quite a long time - Germany’s absolute loss of sovereignty," she said.

Zakharova noted that Scholz in fact signed off on "the rejection of an independent German foreign policy."

"He destroyed everything that his predecessors had built over decades after World War II," she added.

*3. Head of Russia’s delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control Konstantin Gavrilov has called on the West to prevent "nuclear provocations" with Leopard 2 tanks.*

"We warn the Western sponsors of the Kiev military machine against encouraging nuclear provocations and blackmail. We know that Leopard 2 tanks, as well as the Bradley and Marder armored infantry carriers are armed with armor-piercing projectiles with #uranium #warheads. Their use leads to the contamination of the area, like it was in former #Yugoslavia and Iraq. In case such munitions for NATO-made heavy weapons are supplied to Kiev, we will consider that as the use of dirty nuclear bombs against Russia with all the consequences that come with it," he said at an #OSCE forum on security cooperation.
