DAY 20 – BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE?

Psa 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble.

Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Psa 46:3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

Prov 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

There are times, especially when one is caught between a rock and a hard place, when they want to throw a red flag out at God, as if to stop the game of life and throw down a red flag because it looks like God made the wrong call. It is during those times that you need to remember The Lord is also often the nearest when it may seem He’s the furthest away.

When you walk with God and stand in faith no matter what, it’s not going to be easy all the time, understanding that if you are going to succeed in times like these, you are going to have to overcome some obstacles. This is what you must understand that even though you may be between a rock and a hard place – The Lord Jesus Christ is your Refuge!

If you turn to Him, you will find help in the time of trouble. However, that does not mean you will never face difficulties or dangerous situations but can face them with confidence, because The Lord is with you, His grace is sufficient for you. Jesus said, “In me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). No matter what our circumstance, the safest place to always be is in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
