Out at range day we found a very cool new 17 HMR rifle from Savage Arms, the A17, which is a reliable, safe semi auto platform for the 17 HMR cartridge. This rifle uses a delayed blowback system similar in the operation of HK roller lock firearms. Savage has also partnered with CCI to develop ammunition specially designed to squeeze extra velocity out of an already very flat shooting little cartridge.
