Some of you may be familiar with the movie 1984. A dystopian and depressing representation of George Orwell's vision of what the coming years would involve for mankind. A time when people are accused of wrong think by the Thought Police, where thought police roam the streets imprisoning anyone who steps out of line. While the year 1984 has come and gone with little resemblance to Orwell's vision. Today a very different world exists with governments now having the ability to monitor and harass individuals based on their "thinking."

With the advent of social media, a vast network which offers the ability to spy on private citizens has been created. Tools that allow the powers that be in Big Brother style to monitor each word you say online. The results are being seen in the UK where thousands of citizens have been involved in what the authorities are calling hate incidents. Not hate crimes, but hate incidents! The result of which being the potential for the incident to be kept on record and searchable during advanced checks, even though the individual was not involved in a crime.
