The Krag–Jørgensen rifle was invented by Ole Krag and Erik Jørgensen during the late 1880's. At it's heart the main feature is the magazine, a unique half capsule arrangement that has the ability to be topped off while the bolt remains closed. Much of the other features of the rifle came were borrowed from other designs, most notably the Jarmann rifle in use in Norway. Denmark was the first to adopt the Krag Jorgensen rifle, doing so in 1889. The United States followed in 1892, though the first rifles weren't made until 1894. Finally, the inventor's home country of Norway adopted the rifle in 1894.
In this video I take an example from each country out to the range to compare and contrast.

Rifles Used:
Danish Model 1889 in 8x58r
US Model 1896 in 30-40
Norwegian Model 1912 Carbine in 6.5x55 Swedish
