There's a lot more to this. I got overwhelmed with the amount of peculiarity there is to this case. It's very sad. And incredibly it seems like many of the politicians were in on it. They gave Jim Jones credence right to the very end. They were not considered a cult until close to the very time they all were massacred in Guyana. They were considered a group of people who were activists and wanted to work together to make the world better. They were also well liked by the Guyanese government at that time which had just won it's independence in 1966. Also Jonestown was on a piece of land that Venezuela was saying was theirs. A man who was a Jesuit priest, Andrew Morrison was the one who propagated many of the crazy stories we now read about in regards to the People's temple. The Jesuits didn't like People's Temple for many reasons. They were like a thorn in the side of the CIA and MI6 in that area. And Congressman's findings were about to be published back in California. the truth was, none of the relatives cited by "concerned relatives" wanted to leave Jonestown.
