Wandering Wagners got LOST in Kentucky trying to find the campground we thought we reserved a site at! AND we added some upgrades to our Lectric eBike 2.0.

We made a few quick repairs to our 2020 Nexus Wraith Super C before our next trip. Then we received some upgrades from Lectric. We got the comfort package seat upgrade, new bigger brighter headlights, and 1 set of mirrors we are sharing one on each bike.
The Lectric eBike 2.0 bikes have been great but the seats were just far too uncomfortable for any length of riding. The new seats are much improved and even have shock absorption! We tested out the headlights for a night ride and they did pretty well vs the old smaller headlights. The mirrors did come in handy to be able to keep an eye on what's coming up behind us while riding so we can safely move over when needed. Overall we'd highly suggest upgrading your seats, lights and adding mirrors to your electric Lectric eBikes!

We talked about the NEXT Swagout Campout #4 which is happening August 12-14, 2022! Be sure to get your spot today before they're gone!

Finally we decided to go camping for Mike's 40th birthday weekend!! We wanted to go somewhere new so we decided to try out Cumberland Falls in Kentucky. We know there are lots of hiking and such we can do there and we haven't done much camping in Kentucky lately. However, we THOUGHT we booked at Cumberland Falls State Park but apparently my attention to detail on the KY state park reservation website was lacking and I reserved a site at Lake Cumberland State Park instead! We didn't realize this until we were at Cumberland Falls state park and we couldn't find our site and the signage was lacking. We had almost 0 cell signal so Mike unhooked the Jeep and went looking for answers after we drove around back and forth for far too long trying to find out where the heck we went wrong!

Mike found a park ranger and he helped us understand that we actually reserved for a completely different park, that was 80 miles WEST of where we were currently! 😯 Talk about an OOPS situation!

We finally arrived at the correct park around 9 pm CENTRAL time only to find the site we booked was far too short for us (which didn't show that online or in the picture provided). I had ONE BAR of LTE signal and was able to get online and look for other open sites. Luckily there were a handful and we decided to pick one and just see if we could make it work. It was also short and very sloped but we backed up just off the pad and it was actually almost perfectly level! Horray! I grilled burgers and mike got some birthday champagne and we decided to make the best of a crazy travel day!
Even seasoned travelers make mistakes sometimes!

The following day we rode our ebikes and explored the campground, had a campfire, with hot dogs, and I even made Mike a Lemon Meringue Pie! His Favorite 😍

What started out to be wild and full of mistakes ended up being a pretty great trips, even if it was at a completely different park than we thought we were visiting for this weekend haha

The park was very quiet and everyone was super friendly so if you're looking for a quiet getaway, check out Lake Cumberland State Park in Southern Kentucky!
