On Thin Ice At Lincoln's Boyhood Home! (Embark Breed Test)

In this episode of Wandering Wagners, we traveled to Lincoln State Park and Abraham Lincoln's Boyhood Home National Park. Here we thought Illinois was the "Land of Lincoln" because that's where he was from. We learned that was not the case while visiting this park! He was born in Kentucky, moved to Indiana at age 7, and moved to Illinois at age 21. Who knew?! We always thought he was from Illinois, the way they lay claim to him. Learned something new!

We also received the Breed test results from @embarkvet DNA testing! He has a total of 6 dog breeds! We were curious and the results are different from his siblings which was the craziest part! We might have to test him with Wisdom Panel to compare.

We were the only ones camping at this state park in Southern Indiana, and the weather went from snow to 60s very quickly! We did some great hiking, and visited another cemetery in an Indiana state park! Never knew there were so many here. We went to the fire tower but it was too windy for us to venture up to the top this time.

Right across the street from Lincoln State Park, there's Lincoln Boyhood Home National Park. Where the original homestead of the Lincoln family was, along with the cemetery which has Lincoln's Mother. His sister is buried at the state park church cemetery. We loved that this park has so much history and it really gave it that something extra that we really enjoyed!
