In this episode of Wandering Wagners we changed out our RV fridge with a Dometic DMC4101 12V Fridge and Changed out our batteries for AGM batteries!

We purchased a new 12V fridge for our 2020 @NeXusRV Wraith 34W. We went this route because we wanted to have a larger fridge (cubic foot storage wise) and we went from an 8 cuft to a 10 cuft with this new fridge, That doesn't sound like a lot until you see it with your own eyes. With the loss of the internal fins and all of the LP components on the outside of the lp/electric RV fridge you really gain a lot of great storage inside! There are also different controls for the freezer and fridge which is great! We went with the @DometicOfficial DMC4101 12V fridge because we've had good luck with Dometic and this was the closes outside dimensions to match the space. We actually didn't have to change anything and the old fridge came out and the new fridge went right into the same space, seamlessly.

Big shout out to Dave Fitch from @FollowingtheFitchs for his help with this project! He was also able to remove some of the LP parts from the old fridge and put it on his fridge that hasn't been working for a while and no parts were available, so we helped him out and let him take all the parts he wanted to fix and to have a spare if needed.

Because we have the new fridge we wanted to upgrade the batteries to AGM with more amp hours to support the fridge on overnights when we don't need to run the generator. We went with these batteries because we needed them to be a specific dimension and there were surprisingly few options. Finally we found ones that would fit and would provide more power.

We purchased the fridge and batteries ourselves.
