School of the Americas - Torture 101

The School of the Americas (SOA), formerly known as the US Army School of the Americas, is an educational institution located in Fort Benning, Georgia. It was established in 1946 and has been providing training to military personnel from Latin American countries ever since. The school offers instruction in a variety of subjects including counter-insurgency tactics, anti-terrorism techniques, psychological warfare, and civil-military operations. And of course torture.
