Could This Be The End Of Interest Rate Hike?

Many Canadians are watching to see what the future holds when it comes to Real Estate specially in the interest rates. Here is my take or prediction of what the .25 basis points interest rate hike in January 25th could mean for us Canadians.

If the inflation do not improve this year we may see another hike in March of 2023 in the next meeting.

We may also see a low amount of inventory in the market due to the lack of confidence of sellers in the real estate market that may signal a competing offer on the properties that are well position to sell such as the entry level home.

In terms of interest rates wether you should choose to have a fixed rate or variable rate this year...pay a close attention to the fixed rates this year because more and more banks will start offering a very competitive fixed rates mortgage compare to variable rates.
