Much of our jail population in Canada consists of inmates serving time for small crimes such as addiction, theft, threats, and a lot of people suffering from mental health. These environments are not meant for these type of people and should only be used in worst case scenarios. Many come out worse than when they entered these facilities. This video is a glimpse into why that happens.
