Turkish Shoe Shine, Scam In Turkey

In this video, we'll be discussing a common #scam that tourists should be aware of when visiting #turkey , specifically the shoe shine #scammer .

The scam usually starts when a friendly local approaches a tourist and offers to shine their shoes for a small fee. Once the tourist agrees, the scammer will quickly and efficiently shine their shoes, and may even ask for a tip. However, after the shoe shining is finished, the scammer will demand a much higher fee than what was originally agreed upon.

It is important to be aware of this scam and not to engage with anyone who offers unsolicited shoe shining services, it is also a good idea to have a clear agreement on the price before the service is performed.

Additionally, tourists should be aware that this scam is not limited to shoe shining and can also take place in other forms such as offering to take a picture with them, or some other kind of service, always be cautious and be aware of your surroundings when in tourist areas.
