I went to Bergamo instead of Milan 🇮🇹

Bergamo is a small town outside of Milan with its own airport. If you've got a few days to explore, you should check out Bergamo instead of Milan. There is so much to do in Bergamo, and I just didn't have enough time. Outside of the town, you'll find insanely good parklands, waterfalls and other natural sights.

Inside Bergamo there is the citta alta and the citta bassa. The citta alta is Bergamo old town and it's beautiful. There is a funicular to get to the top, to save your legs. From the airport you can buy a 5€ 24 hour public transport pass which allows you to get on all of the public transport, including the funicular.
