No restaurant, no problem - New CDMX Covid Restrictions 🇲🇽

We went out for lunch, actually to try cricket tacos, but when we got to Mercado Roma, they were closed, as was every other restaurant in Mexico City! It turns out that overnight, the Mexican government had imposed restrictions on restaurants in Mexico City and the State of Mexico which affected all restaurants. They're all open for takeaway still, but the stupidest thing of it all is that outdoor markets and indoor markets are still open... There are thousands, and thousands of maskless people loitering around these markets, it is absolutely ridiculous.

Mexico City has one of the worst infection rates in the world, and the mortality rates are terrible. Closing down restaurants, but leaving busy markets open is just idiotic.

We decided to leave Mexico City the day after this for a few reasons.

In this video, we try two awesome Tortas, in our own seating area, by the road, with a bollard as a table.
