Strike a pose at Chichen Itza 🇲🇽

Is it worth visiting Chichen Itza in Mexico? I'd say yes if you're in Cancun, but I would not recommend flying to this region for the sole purpose of visiting this tourist attraction. It's far too expensive for what you get. The main pyramid is good to take a picture in front of, however, when it's busy, you'll struggle to get a good shot. We visited during the hurricane season and whilst most countries are locked down due to covid, so there weren't many tourists in comparison to what you'd normally get at Chichen Itza.

I think it's a bit overrated if I'm being completely honest and I definitely wouldn't return, well why would you? Nothing will change.

This is apparently one of the 7 new wonders of the world. I'm not sure it should be in that category, seems a bit overrated to be in such a prestigious list. But that's just my opinion, you may disagree - I'd like to know why you disagree if you do, so let me know by commenting.
