Abandoned Yugoslav Train Station in Skopje 🇲🇰

I found out that Skopje had an abandoned Yugoslav train station near the centre of Skopje, just down the road from Macedonia square, so I had to check it out. I woke up early, walked 40 minutes from my apartment and ended up at this abandoned building, well, half-abandoned. Half of it has been turned into a museum and parts of it has just been left as it was from the earthquake in 1963 which devastated the city of Skopje and tore the train station in half.Show more

A lot of Skopje has been completely rebuilt, mostly in 2014 which they refer to as something like the rebuild of Skopje. I show you in this video all I could get to see from the outside, as the abandoned parts are fenced off with 6 foot high metal fences with barbed wire, but it’s still interesting to see.
