Skopje. The city of statues. 🇲🇰

Skopje is the capital city of what was known as Macedonia, but is now internationally recognised as North Macedonia. Macedonia used to be part of Yugoslavia and was known as FYROM, FYR Macedonia or the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia for a while. After a long battle with Greece over the name, Macedonia changed its name to North Macedonia and also changed the name of their airport from Alexander the Great, to Skopje international, along with removing some Alexander the Great statues as the Greeks lay claim to him and took offence that Macedonias used anything to do with him.

Come with me as I show you what Skopje is like, early in the morning, the capital of North Macedonia, a great country and a great capital city.
