Why America's Education System Is Failing?
The ambitious Common Core effort, which was first put into effect in 2009, sought to completely transform the American educational system. President Obama and Bill Gates were both in favor of the plan, and it was projected to have cost $15.8 billion to implement. Years later, studies revealed that the revised curriculum had little effect on students' academic achievement. How come Common Core failed then? The effectiveness of a common curriculum for all students
According to the Economic Policy Institute, teachers make 20% less than other professionals with equivalent training and experience. Teachers are frequently forced to look for second occupations to augment their income or leave the field altogether because their pay is below the living wage in many jurisdictions. Therefore, why are teachers paid so little and how can the United States?
