Is the water actually pink Rio Lagartos? 🇲🇽

We were told that you could find flamingos and pink water in Rio Lagartos in Mexico, so we had a quick look online and were shocked, we had to drive the 3 hour and 30 minutes to see these pink waters. But do they really exist?

Apparently the pink waters at Rio Lagartos do exist, but apparently due to the hurricanes, the water had changed. I have a strong feeling that the water is never as pink as the pictures you see on Google, but I do know that pink water does exist as I've seen it before, as explained in the video on my trip to Ukraine.

We did see some pink water here in Rio Lagartos but from afar, and we did see some flamingos, from far away.
