Exploring the famous Galapagos Islands 🦎

The Galapagos islands is like a big, open zoo. On an island, in the middle of the ocean. An island where sea lions go to sleep on benches, pelicans chill on lampposts, giant tortoises slowly crawl about and iguanas swim next to you in the sea.

Have you ever thought about swimming with an iguana? Check out this video where you'll see iguanas everywhere in the Galapagos islands. We were here in February 2021 for about a week and spent a lot of time roaming around looking at the wildlife on show in the Galapagos islands.

The good thing about the Galapagos islands is that the animals generally aren't scared of humans, as the rules are strict. Do not go within 2 metres of an animal, do not them, do not feed or scare them. So the animals have grown up knowing that humans don't come near them, which leaves the sea lions to chill on the benches near the marina for as long as they want, sleeping, snoring, and being totally relaxed knowing somebody won't hit them for no reason.

Is the Galapagos islands on your bucket list?
