Sri Lankan ladies invite us for dinner in Kandy 🇱🇰

I was invited to a Sri Lankan lady's house for lunch, where she would show us how she prepares Sri Lankan cuisine in her house just outside of Kandy, one of the most popular cities in Sri Lanka.Show more

She made us many different dishes from the Sri Lankan cuisine, mostly using coconut, curry leaves, chillis, cinnamon and other spices. We even went to her garden to take a banana flower from her banana tree, which she and her sister chopped up and turned into a dish for us!

The oven that they used was over 140 years old! It came with the house and she said she has not changed it, or even fixed the windows where the oven is.
