Beautiful Mushrooms in the Wild Identified
50 types of beautiful wild mushrooms growing in their natural habitat in the Pacific Northwest, accompanied by their common and Latin names. I filmed all of these mushrooms with a Samsung Galaxy s10. This is mostly for entertainment, please do not use these moving images as a definitive field guide for identification. Always be sure you know what you are picking before eating it.
If I have mis-identified any of the mushrooms in this short film please feel free to put what you think it is in the comments.
As usual, Mushroom wonderland tries to bring you the most fun and cutting edge of mushroom information from the PNW.
Keep in mind that common names vary regionally, and may not be called the same thing in your neck of the woods.
Watch beautiful sweeping shots of Chanterelles, boletes, several types of cortinarius, coral fungi, chicken of the woods, lepiota, chlorophyllum, amanita, mycena, matsutake, galerina, fomitopsis, and many other types of mushrooms that occur in the northwestern United States.
Please sit back and enjoy looking at these mysterious and beautiful mushrooms growing in the forest.
I am not a professional mycologist, just a guy who has been interested in mushrooms and fungi ever since 6 years old when my grandma would take to forage for mushrooms and we would try to identify them and see which ones we could eat. When she passed away she left me her mushroom field guides. I have been hooked on hunting wild mushrooms ever since.
I went to college in 2001 for video productions and Integrated Multimedia, so it eventually made sense that I combine my two passions and start this channel, Mushroom Wonderland.
This film was shot mostly in the Autumn, between September and October, so keep in mind that these mushrooms might not be growing during the spring, summer, or winter.
