March Mushroom Foraging and Identification- 2022

In this video I walk through the forest and find and identify over 15 types of wild mushrooms growing here in Washington State, USA. I live in the upper left corner of the contiguous United States in a temperate region known as the Pacific Northwest. The climate is much like that of France or Japan, we have amazing conifer forests and very wet rainy seasons, which make for lots of fungi.
We are just coming out of the darkest days of winter and are starting to see the emergence of a whole new set of mushrooms that are unique to the spring around here, and so many that have not showed up on any of our other videos before.
We get to see a small group of Xeromphalina fulvipes, some ebony cups or Pseudoplectania, some parasitic Clitocybe, the amazing Lichen Agaric, Alpine Jelly Cones, Winter Chanterelle, Red Belted Polypore, Stereum, Fomitopsis Orchreca, Turkey tail and a few more.
This is exciting because mushrooms are growing again.
If you're new here, welcome, and I urge you to hit subscribe if you're a mycophile or have an interest in things foraged.
Mush love everyone!!
