Reishi Mushrooms, Ganoderma Oregonense in the PNW

This video shows what the Pacific Northwest Version of the "Reishi" mushroom (Ganoderma Oregonense), aka Ling-Chi, looks like, where it grows, what it is good for and how to prepare it. Maybe the most well known medicinal mushroom in the entire world.
These mushrooms can be found in old growth and older second growth conifer forests on the Pacific Coast from Northern California to northern British Columbia. When picked young they provide powerful medicine used by natives and in chinese medicine for thousands of years.
They are currently being studied for Cancer treatment, used as an anti-inflammitory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, as well as many other uses.
