In this video Aaron Hilliard, creator of Mushroom Wonderland and VP of the local Mycological Society takes us on a walk in the dead of winter in the Pacific Northwest, the upper left corner of the United States, to see what fungi are growing and to take a close look at them and identify them by name, as well as explain any uses for each mushroom.
This video is intended for educational and recreational purposes only and should not stand as a definitive field guide. Please do your own research on what you find before eating it. I am, however confident in my Identifications and hope you check out the rest of the channel to see all the hundreds of other mushrooms identified on Mushroom Wonderland!
Be sure to hit that subscribe button and the bell icon to get notifications on new videos being released so you can stay current on which mushrooms might be growing in a forest near you. I would like to make sure that it is understood that mushrooms have a tendency to grow regionally and adapt to different trees and climates, so although you may have similar mushrooms that grow in your region-they might not be in season right now.

Thanks for your support!
