Student may file a lawsuit against DeSantis administration
2 years ago
21
On Wednesday, civil rights lawyer Ben Crump warned Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis that his administration would face legal action if it continued to prevent the teaching of an AP course on African-American studies in the state's high schools. DeSantis disapproved of the plan, claiming that the curriculum "seriously lacks educational merit." Crump was accompanied by three high school students who will serve as the primary plaintiffs for the announcement of the case. Joy Reid is joined in conversation by Florida State Senator Shevrin Jones, one of the three high school students, and Elijah Edwards.
