"If we eat something unripe, we get unwanted effects in our system. But most of the food we get nowadays, because it has to be shipped over thousands of miles to get into our homes, of course, is harvested when it's not ripe yet," explained Christof Plothe, D.O. at General Assembly #63.

"So, they add chemicals. Even in organic farming, they add other substances to it."
