If you’ve tried to open a shop, most people face the “marketplace will be enabled in mid 2022” issue…..or their commerce account even gets restricted immediately before they even open it.

To my knowledge there’s no current way to instantly bypass this and get your shop and marketplace enabled immediately, but there are certainly some things you can do to jump the line of other shops waiting and get yours enabled faster.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that if you already have a page with likes, followers, or engagement….or one that you might have started a while back, you should try to open a shop and enable marketplace on that one first

I had started a random page like 2 years ago and even though I never did anything with it, this page got marketplace enabled on it much much faster than all the other test pages I opened up brand new.

The second thing you want to do is create a website for your page and then link that site to your page in commerce manager.

Facebook wants you to be an actual and so the more things you can show them that indicate this, the higher likelihood they’ll approve your shop and enable marketplace quicker.

Sure, you can link something like an eBay storefront and potentially get away with it….but I would recommend going the extra mile and creating an actual website for your brand (even if you never plan to sell anything from it).

You can create a Shopify store or use a site builder like wix for super cheap and it might take you 15-20 minutes tops if you have experience with site builders like this already (or maybe like an hour potentially if you don’t)

We’re not talking about a crazy beautiful looking website here with all the bells and whistles. We’re simply talking about a 3 page site that looks professional, has some products on it, has your brand name and URL….and gets the job done with Facebook.

And I plan to drop a video on how you can build a site just like this in 10 minutes or less very soon so if you’d like to see that hit the like button and make sure you subscribe

This will communicate to facebook that you’re an actual business with an actual brand and actual website that actually sells real products to actual customers….not just someone trying to get a random shop enabled overnight so you can poach their customers by tapping into marketplace

Your site name and URL should match your brand and page name as well

This reason, among many others we’ll touch on is why one of the main metrics FB uses to verify pages and shops is the same metric they use to grade ad accounts….and it’s this broad metric of “trustworthiness”

To piggyback off the actual business tip…you guessed it, you should start an ACTUAL business.

Now, yes this is not necessary, but it’s something you should certainly think about.

Not only will it help you be taken more seriously by Facebook but it’ll also protect your personal assets….and increase your profit b/c you’ll pay less taxes and net more money

Obviously I’m not an accountant though I’m just speaking on personal experience so if you want to be sure speak to an accountant. I’ll link the accountant I recommend in the description below. He’s a small business owner himself that specializes in helping small businesses and e-commerce sellers.

I can directly attribute 10s of thousands of dollars in profit last year to decisions he helped me make in my business. So if you’re on the fence or you need some clarity, get in touch with him. His name is Julian.
