Would you rather - Access to Centralized AI or Keep individual rights and liberty

Would you rather...

Being able to access crazy AI technologies right now, something like chatgpt implemented in games, but at the cost of you having need to subscribe to any game on the market that you want to play,
also other things will follow through, we will own nothing, and we will have to rent everything we need because the oligarchs will own everything and every production including food.

Or, moderate decentralisation, cannot have access to crazy AI, but your rights of ownership, rights to repair etc, we can keep them.

You cannot have both, the advanced language model requires supercomputers with at least 45TB of GDDR6 ram, and the top of the line consumer GPU in 2023 only has 24GB,
we are still a thousand times of density away from achieving Advanced language model running offline individually for an average person.
The first one tho, we don't have to fight for it, it's their grandiose plan all along.
The second one, we have to fight for our freedom so they can't take away our rights.
If we fight, I don't think that at the end we will have centralized servers providing cheap AI services for us, that's why I said you cannot have both.

There are other things you will have to choose between, a tyrannical system does sound exciting sometimes, but choosing those exciting drugs rather than choosing to work hard and produce by yourself or even providing for others.
There's a cost to that, and we aren't even aware of the full ramifications yet.

We already have centralised data centers in the world, Google services, Amazon servers, Microsoft window servers and so on... we are already using and buying things from centralised sources like big supermarkets.
However, I think with centralised AI development, it might be the final nails in the coffin.
