Ridgid continues to improve the performance of their 18-volt battery operated tools with the OCTANE line of tools. In this tool review, we go over the new RIDGID OCTANE 7-1/4" circular saw and compare it to the Gen5X Brushless and Milwaukee FUEL HD models.

Our goal is to show you the differences between the Gen5X models and the OCTANE in build and setup. we look at power differences between all the saws and also discuss if it is worth upgrading if you already have the Gen5X.

We enjoy our Milwaukee FUEL tools and hoped this new OCTANE model was going to compare to the FUEL HD model, but it clearly does not at this point.

We continue to ask for a blade left model from TTI and hope that we might get our wish very soon.
